As a professional female tennis player, playing on the WTA Tour for the last 10 years I have had many experiences with a variety of the best health and fitness professionals in the industry over the course of my career. I had the opportunity of working with Dan leading up to and during the Australian Open 2011, several months after my surgery in May for a torn ACL suffered prior to the French Open 2010.
Dan took the time to fully understand what I needed in order to compete at a high level again. He was able to quickly observe deficiencies I had developed after my knee surgery and to align my body so I could function optimally again. He provided me with a range of stretches and exercises to aid my final rehabilitation process, to get me from a point where I wasn’t able to run, to in the space of an hour where I could!
Dan has given me an array of tools that I use to improve myself as an athlete on a daily basis and to keep my body injury free and functioning at its best.
In my opinion Dan is one of the best I have worked with and I am honored to have had the opportunity to work with him.Monique Adamczak – Australian WTA Pro Tennis Player, Australian Open 2011
I had been using the gym again after a break and did not really feel I was getting anywhere. Dan’s approach is excellent.
He spent a long time looking at my posture, muscle balance and gait before making a plan. Rather than getting me to do weights straight away, he has concentrated on my technique, so that I am using the right muscles for the right exercises.
I didn’t realise how poor my technique was! Since working with Dan for only a few weeks I have been much more aware of my posture and how I have been using my body in the gym and at work, so increasing my strength and flexibility.
Dan is always encouraging, friendly and explains his thinking behind all the exercises I do. He pushes you when you need it too. He is constantly assessing you and changing the exercise according to your strengths and areas you need to improve. With his warm-up and warm down regime, I have also found that muscle soreness and stiffness is minimal the day after a session with him, which is fantastic.
I would recommend Dan wholeheartedly. His back to basics approach is great and very rewarding.Dr Inam Haq – Senior Lecturer in Medical Education and Rheumatology
My short time of training with Dan was some of the most effective work I have ever done in the gym. I am a free-lance performing artist and travel extensively, joining gyms and working with trainers all over the world. The focus on core and functional movement that Dan employs provides an overall intensive and efficient workout that is unique, fun and challenging. I’ll look for his type of training in the future and only hope I can find a trainer with Dans’ expertise and inventiveness.

I started training with Dan about 2 months ago, when I realised I had taken on a challenge which I was not really training properly for. In a panic I turned to a trainer to help. Although not the kind of training I was expecting, we have achieved more than I could have hoped for. I managed to walk nearly 50miles in the Carpathian mountains to raise money for charity and came home still walking and without any injury! In my first session, Dan carried out a very thorough assessment of my physique and his holistic approach and his knowledge of anatomy have all improved my posture, strength and balance incredibly in only 10 sessions. Although I have had other trainers over the years to help me rehabilite from using a walking stick after a long term illness, I would thoroughly recommend Dan’s approach as it really works. He has a bizarre array of tools and although I may hate them, they do work. Dan is also qualified as a sports massage therapist, which means he can help with muscular aches, pains and spasms as we go along….
