ow best to optimize your Performance Output
To become the top individual or team in your chosen field you must first master the art of becoming a complete Athlete.
“Be able to match another athlete who is at the top of their game, be good at every other physical activity, and be the best at your game”.
Strength & Conditioning is a program where coaches look to enhance and optimize an athletes performance output. To do this we have to firstly ensure the body is ready to undergo such conditioning as the forces created by gravity, impact and momentum will cause unnecessary stresses to an athletes muscular-skeletal chain if the athlete is not in their optimal alignment. This is where Corrective Exercise play’s a vital role, and the needs of that of an Olympic Athlete compared to that of a pensioner only differ by degree, not kind.
An athlete in order to improve performance must be able to constantly keep their body guessing in order to elicit a physiological and neuroendocrine response.
Merely following the same routine or single modality approach will eventually lead to a training plateau.
At Vitality Life Fitness our approach is to ensure our Athletes poses the physical competence across a broad range of physiological and neurological domains.
We believe that integrated functional movements are essential and promote safe and efficient training. This is primarily due to their nature as safe compound movements, and are therefore recognised as universal motor recruitment patterns. These movements stem from the deep inner and outer units of your “core” and extend through to the appropriate extremities.
