About Daniel

Vitality Life Fitness is based in the popular city of Brighton, East Sussex. We are located at Preston Park Lawn Tennis Club which is set directly behind Preston Park itself.

We have an exercise studio / treatment room located within the clubhouse itself where we work on a one-to-one basis for added privacy. The room itself benefits from a shower & changing room giving clients the opportunity to return to work straight after training / treatment.

Vitality Life Fitness is fronted by Master Trainer and Therapist, Daniel Cleal. Daniel set up the company in 2007 to bridge the gap between traditional rehabilitation therapies and conventional physical training programmes.

Daniel was previously a National Level Gymnast and competed for 12 years,  winning 3 National titles as a junior. He also served as a member of the British Army where physical activity and sport played a major part in his life, as a NCO in  an Infantry Battalion, Regimental sporting teams and having competed at International Level with the British Army Combat Shooting Team (BACST).

Daniel’s passion for sport and human movement led him to establish Vitality Life Fitness as the Corrective Exercise and Movement Specialists. Having been involved for the majority of his life in sport or physical training he became aware that people’s movement was generally compromised by poor habits, lifestyle or merely poor physical education. But also had to take into account those who have been unfortunate enough to experience injury or illness which have had direct implications to their movement.

His techniques and approach have enabled him to work with a variety of individuals who have suffered from injury or illness, but have also led him into working with many Athletes as a Strength & Conditioning and Movement Coach:

  • Neurological Conditions Including: Strokes , “Locked in Syndrome”.  (Brain Stem Stroke)
  • Chronic conditions Including: M.E, Serosis Artheritis, Back Pain, Persistent Joint Dysfunctions.
  • Post Operation Rehabilitation: Hip Replacements, Back Surgery, Conditions of the Shoulder, Knee and Ankle and various other Muscular-Skeletal structures of the body.
  • Strength & Conditioning and Movement Enhancement: Members from the  British Ski-Cross Team, Junior LTA Performance Tennis Players, British Kick-Boxer, Boxers, Golfers and Triathletes as well as International Opera Singers.
